Recently I’ve been taking a lot of HD video using my Sanyo VPC-HD1000 and realized Picasa 3 wasnt picking up MP4 files nor were Quicktime movies displaying in Picasa so I was like WTF?! I started searching online help and found out you need to turn on the option in Picasa to display Quicktime movies and then MP4 files will work too. This was also after I converted MP4 files to test a couple video codecs to see if they would upload via Picasa so in the future hopefully Picasa team will enable that option going forward OR list MP4 as a separate format then just Quicktime.
Hopefully this tip finds you before you start converting MP4 files into various codecs/formats to see which ones work for Picasa 3 even though Picasa lists MP4 on the supported codecs.
